It's been a while, and I have been busy. The body is almost ready for paint.

The JBA 2.5" H Pipe. I think its going to be able to breathe a little easier.

JBA's arrived the other day. The outlet flange location is a bit lower on the passenger side, and the angle is a bit off on the drivers. Good thing I ordered their H pipe as well. I am going to have to make a new thermal choke tube though.

Upgraded from the Pertronix Ignitor II to the Pertronix Ignitor III to get the Multiple Spark Discharge feature. The II bolted to the original advance plate where as the III is attached to its own advanced plate. The adjustment screw in the III is for a built in rev limiter.

Looks like my real solution to the mid pipe issue is going to be the JBA 1653SH  pipe. Due to the very changed position of the flanges, modifying a true H pipe might prove to be a challenge.

Pulled out my 10+ year old never used H pipe. It is a 2" version. Plastic tape used on the flanges to keep them from sliding down the pipes must have held moisture, added rust. I'm guessing the cross over area is rusty from the welding and handling. Hard to see till I point it out, but the drivers side of the cross over tube weld is cracked. I did not even see it till I was looking at the photos.

Late Christmas. The exhaust pipe kit arrived yesterday, the aluminum radiator and Energy Suspension bushing kit and 120 grit roll cartridges today. Too bad its so overcast today or I might be out doing something.

I'll be file fitting the piston rings this weekend. To see what that is all about, look here:

As the transmission is almost complete, I have started taking a look at the engine.

More on the FMX transmission. I bought a bunch of new friction/clutch discs as one of the set was badly pitted. Had the entire thing apart, inspected, cleaned and almost put back together.

I've been playing with adding LED lights to replace the 1157 bulb.

The original front band is no longer available, so I took the replacement FLEX band and modified it.

Its been sitting for a long time, Andrew had to toy with it many years ago, but its back on track to getting on the road.

Here are some photos of the original FMX Transmission as I rebuild it.
